New Pages
I’ve decided to replace my blog with this (more) static site. It’s been more than six months since my last blog post. While a number of bloggers whose posts I enjoy seem to have much busier lives than mine, I never feel like I have the time or inspiration to say much of interest. I may re-post some of my blog content as convenient. The linked articles at the left of the page are recent articles or posts that I found interesting (powered by Google Reader).
Current Events
I intend to re-incorporate some of my older blog posts, revised or adapted to reflect current events. When I first wrote my gay marriage essay in 2001, I didn't expect that two states would offer equal marriage only a few years later. It is important to note that these "equal" marriages are not portable (as couples move from state to state), nor does the federal government recognize these unions. I think that many of my original statements are still valid.
